About

Hi stranger,

So nice of you to stop by! My name is Oksana. I’m a language and genealogy nerd, a swiftie, a bullet journal enthusiast, a recovering perfectionist and just a curious mind.

And this particular blog is my digital cabinet of curiosities. What is a cabinet of curiosities you ask?

If you happened to be wealthy and educated and alive in 16th- and 17th-century Europe, it was fashionable to have a Wunderkammern, a “wonder chamber”, or a “cabinet of curiosities” in your house – a room filled with rare and remarkable objects that served as a kind of external display of your thirst for knowledge of the world

This quote is from one of my favourite books by Austin Kleon “Show your work”.

And this is actually the same book that made me want to start this blog, a little corner of the Internet with my own digital cabinet of curiosities, my thoughts and ideas that i’ve always wanted to store somewhere but never got around to it.

Expect book recommendations (mostly nonfiction), quotes, notes, random thoughts, music, links to some cool stuff and so on.
